RETREATS
YOGA RETREATS
I have been hosting retreats in and around Europe for the past decade. My passion for discovering beautiful, unique and inspiring locations is to bring a sense of joy and wonder to all of my students. My mission is to heighten every sense, feed the soul, and stimulate the body, so my students return to life glowing inside and out.
Yoga is a holistic path, which extends beyond the study of asana and meditation. It is an expression of life in all of its beauty. My retreats include many different activities, from surfing, hiking, SUP, cooking, even safari. We are all on an adventure together, and it is wonderful to see where that adventure will take us.
Many of my students are busy mothers, who spend every waking moment giving of themselves to others. One of my greatest pleasures and blessings is to take my students and gently hold them in deep self care and love, whether for a decadent week or a luxurious day, it is they who can feel loved and cared for. They return to their families, energised, invigorated and fully rejuvenated, happy to take on the mantle of ‘mum’ once more.

Yoga deck and wild spa - Entumoto - Siana Conservancy - Maasai Mara
Where
This beautiful retreat is in the heart of Entumoto in the Siana Conservancy, Maasai Mara, Kenya.
Imagine waking up to the sounds and smells of the African bush, lying in your luxury safari tent watching the big red African sun slowly rise above the horizon. Coffee in hand you wander from your bed to the yoga deck for a gentle yoga class, guiding you to connect deeply to your true nature and that of the surrounding wildlife.
You then jump into your safari 4x4 and explore Entumoto’s private conservancy with our expert Maasai safari guides and spotters who will show you and teach you about zebras, elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, birds of prey and much more. You’ll hear stories from the local Maasai, you’ll go on walking safaris through the bush, you’ll eat picnics under the shade of acacia trees, you'll swim in pool, relax in the sauna, enjoy sundowners on the deck watching antelope run across the planes, sing around the campfire, and leave your everyday life far, far behind.
If you've always dreamt of going to Africa, experiencing the culture and immersing yourself in the rhythm of the natural world - here is your chance to make those dreams a reality.

SAFARI
You will be guided on both day and night safari drives in open-air comfortable 4x4 vehicles around the private conservancy. The guides will take you at your pace, stopping to spend time with the animals so you have the chance to take in their magnificence. Stopping off for a picnic lunch or sundowners on Lion Rock will allow you to become really present with the surroundings and bask in the serenity of the landscape. You will also venture out on at least one walking safari during the week. This creates an opportunity connect more deeply to the land. It heightens the senses to the aliveness of the area, and brings you closer to the cycles of nature that makes this conservancy so completely unique.
YOGA
In the morning, we will have the option to do a sunrise yoga class at 7am. Or, if we venture out on an early morning drive, there will be a class on offer at around 11am, once we're back at camp. An afternoon yoga session will also be available at around 4pm, prior to sundowners . All classes are optional and all levels are welcome but a willingness to explore different ways of moving and an open mind will help. There will be lots of variations offered to suit us all!
Lisa will lead us in her fluid, playful style of yoga and embodied movement, helping us to drop out of our whirring minds and into the wisdom of our bodies.
This will be a chance to tend to our physical body, to ignite more vitality, and to improve our focus and the quality of our thoughts. An opportunity to connect inwards and find a joy in the subtle beauty of movement and mindfulness.
DINING
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included during your stay
The cuisine caters for vegans, vegetarians and omnivores (some meat + fish offered)
All soft drinks are included, e.g. filtered water, fruit juice, sodas, tea and coffee
Wine, beer and local spirits during sundowners and dinner are included
Imported spirits come at an extra cost
Breakfast consists of a full range of fruits and cereals. You may then order a cooked English breakfast of your choosing either in camp or out under a lone thorn-tree on the savannah plains.
Lunch is a lighter affair – with locally sourced produce and fresh vegetables from private vegetable garden.
Pre-dinner drinks by the open fireplace or the pool allow us to share the adventures of the day. Sundowners are frequently served in a variety of beautiful locations around the conservancy.
Dinner is served at your convenience and is a delicious and varied 3-course meal.
All meals and drinks can be served in the privacy of your own veranda, in our dining area with a warm fire or in the bush for a more remote dining experience.
Vegetable garden
Entumoto take pride in growing many of their own fruits and vegetables in their huge ecological garden – bearing aubergines, kale, avocados, passion fruit, papaya and mango as well herbs such as parsley, basil, fresh mint and dill. They are organically minded and diet conscious and the chefs can create individual dishes for each of the guests according to dietary requirements.
Facilities
The camp has two tiers of accommodation split into two sites, Entumoto Main and Entumoto Toto. Entumoto Main is the more luxurious choice, as the site has the pool, the bar, the massage tents and the sauna within it. Each tent on Entumoto Main also has it's own stunning view over the conservancy. Entumoto Toto is the smaller of the two sites. All guests have access to all the facilities but, they are a 5 minute walk uphill from Entumoto Toto's site. All the tents are made of a multilayered canvas, are custom designed and set a hundred meters apart from each other for your privacy. More detail on the different accommodation options can be discussed with Lucy at www.safariandyoga.com
